2010 Year of the 10thLetter!!!

I’d been on a journey for the past 7 years researching history, religion, and spirituality. I read until one day all the similarities flashed a knowing of “one” in my mind. Each book I read was like a bread crumb I had left for myself. Each author was the same person. My shift in perspective was that each was the same spirit of author that existed in their own time and space. In many cases they told the same story except they were in a different time and space. It’s a hard concept to grasp but the understanding of "You are Me and I am You" finally makes sense to me. My ability to record individual moments of time and space in my brain give me the illusion of being a separate self. Since all time and space is one thing then all of space and time is interconnected.

In all the stories of history the tale begins in spirit. The spirit of a people rises from the myth and legend of their origins. The people reach their apex or the heights of their civilization and turn their myth and legends into dogma and religion. The civilization grows comfortable, then stagnant and begins to descend. The determining factor of a civilization falling or rising was its own story, did the majority believe it in Spirit or in Word. When the spirit is chosen it is something for us to do when the word is chosen it is something outside of us to do. I don’t ask anyone to leave their religion I ask that they embrace its Spirit!

My book Sea of Circles is a metaphor of life as a Circle and how to recognize its repeating cycles. We’ve been given a great compass to guide us through life we just don’t recognize it. I don't expect people to agree with all the views expressed on this site. I leave them up to provoke readers into their own “knowing our own perspective” the way they provoked me when I read them. As my experience grows so will my perspective as we are blessed with our own unique perspectives/Circles.

Goodbye to the King of POP!!!!!!

King of Pop!

Today we mourn the loss of a truly interesting man. Micheal achieved greatness at a cost. I grew up thinking of the Jackson's as African American Royalty. His life for me was saddened by the tragedy of his own self hatred. His inability to find comfort within his own skin and culture. Micheal's life shows the confused concept of life our culture of greed can produce. He seemed to be the richest man alive yet he lived the poorest life imaginable. I choose to remember the Micheal Jackson who never grew up instead of the man who never grew.

You have been missed for a long time now MJ! Maybe now you can rest in Peace.

Happy New Year!!!!

2009

I have so many things to be thankful for it's hard to state them all. I have 365 days of thanks in 2008 and no complaints about it, only lessons. I'd like to thank the friends who've given me the lessons of 2008 and you all know who you are. You may feel I have attempted to help you, when actually you have helped and taught me. I would like to apologize to all those I may have displayed anger or negative energy towards in the past and will try to keep my negative emotions directed at the creator of them, me. For 2009 I look forward to further embracing a life of service to all I am privileged to know. This service is one of simply offering what positive energy I can from my perspective not their perspective. The more service I can provide to others the greater the reward of my own life. I look forward to the new adventures and friendships in 2009 and wish you all the happiness you can imagine.

President Barack Obama!!!!

President Obama

The reason I voted for the new president is not because he’s black.  I have to say that right out because most assume that that’s why I would vote for him.  There are two Caucasian people I’d like to thank for reminding me to believe very recently.  Although I really think of them as good spirits rather than Caucasians, yet I feel I still need such labels for a lot of ego's to hear what I’m saying.  I did like to thank these two beautiful spirits from my generation for reminding me that I’m not my father’s generation or my grandfather’s generation or even my uncle’s generation. You can sub "Generation" for "Ego" in this. It’s been a beautiful thing to be out amongst my generation we have had some great times.  People just like me from all over the world, exposed to movies about my ego, music about my ego, books about my ego, and television shows about my ego.  The thing that they have shown me is that all these mediums also exposed them to stories about my spirit.  So I’d like to thank my generation, and their parents’ generation for allowing me to see their spirits.

The message of Barack Obama was a message of coming together to get things done instead of coming apart to make things worse.  This was the mistake of two people whose records I respect.  First Hillary Clinton then Senator John Mccain each decided to bow down to the same divisiveness and negativity they swore they would not.  Don’t get me wrong Obama is still a democrat and he like Hillary and Mccain had to fight the fears of his/her supporters.  Yet the message of Change through Unity and Hope was held steadfast.  Now I can’t guarantee prosperity for everyone, but I believe a good spirit that believes in a better tomorrow will have a better tomorrow.  I thank those spirits for showing me that.

The Main Point of 10thLetter.com

As an African American from the Inner City of Los Angeles (Ghetto/Hood), my main objective would be to help my people. My motives are solely to provoke a conversation with them to begin to lift the last shackles of American Slavery from our minds. I say ours because I am still unraveling my own mental chains. This last bit of bondage is one that only the individual can undo. If undone they will be able to do whatever they want in life. This last bondage is a mental trap of victimization held in place by a disconnection to historical facts and therefore our place in the world. Victimization for me means that you accept what has been done to you and what can be done to you. My want is that the younger generation is freed from the thought that they don’t control their own destinies. It’s not to ask that they embrace Afros and dashikis again, but it is a reconnecting to the 70’s brotherhood and sisterhood of not just other African Americans but to all the so-called races in the world. I say so-called races because there is no competition between the civilizations as you look at History. There is only a hand off of Knowledge from one to the other. I’d like to let them know we have a place in this worlds History, Religions, Institutions, Civilization and on.

Today’s European societies were founded on the ruins of older and greater (long lasting) civilizations. These civilizations owe much, if not all, of their advances to the success of the Egyptians. “The Secret” to the success and downfall of Egypt are found painted on the walls of the tombs of the great Pharaohs. This truth is proven throughout History in rise and fall of civilization after civilization. These Hieroglyphs were then transferred to scrolls and awarded to the people. These scrolls are known as the “Book of Going forth By Day” or “Book of the Dead” to Mummy fans. The books informed the Pharaohs and then the people, that in order to have a happy after life you have to do right in this life. I’ve simplified it of course but the rituals and spells are all in reference to proving you have lead a good life. This coincides with the teaching of the Golden Rule, “Do onto others as you would want to be done unto yourself”.  The question is what do you do to others if you have no knowledge of your trueself? Do you know who you really are or do you only know your ego?

Civil Rights re-movement

The civil rights movement was about the fight for fairness, yet it was turned into forced integration. African American communities wanted to live in the same freedom as European American communities yet the solution was to end African American communities and force integration. A compromise that would hurt us more than we knew. People were told freedom could only be achieved in one community and not the other. Therefore integration would need to take place if you wanted to have this freedom. Why could we not have it in the thriving African American communities of the time? The history of communities like Rosewood, FL and Black Wall Street, OK showed that if African American Communities actually began to exercise this freedom they would be destroyed from outside violence and envy. So the solution was to force the merging of communities instead of supporting the emergence of a community.

Anytime people are forced the force has to come back to you. And there you have the violence, resintment and anomosity of the 60's, 70's, and 80's. I can't blame any culture from wanting to perserve it's existance and resist being forced. The issue is that you have no right to impede the success of another. This simple understanding would allow thriving communities of different races and religions as well as intergrated communities. Diversity leads to prosperity.

This is why reparations are so important. It’s not about the money; it’s about the correction of thought/consciousness. It's about educating people to who and where they are in this place and time. People who know who they are, respect who you are and are less likely to commit crimes. They are more likely to create than destroy. There are still those in both communities who believe from the media that it’s a hopeless situation, why is this?
